Challenge and solution

Delivering comprehensive signage for the new facility of Mieszko, a renowned Polish confectionery manufacturer with a presence in international markets, was a demanding project in terms of both illuminated signage production and installation logistics. The company's recognizable brands, the modern industrial setting and the need for consistent visual identity required precise execution of every element, from three-dimensional letters to large illuminated LED signs mounted on building facades.

The project included two sets of front-lit 3D letters forming the AMORETTA, CHERRISSIMO and CHEERS signs, finished with elegant gold-colored side returns, together with illuminated ZOZOLE logos. In addition, two MIESZKO signs were specified using halo-illuminated 3D letters. These signs were to be installed on spacers on two separate facades, creating a distinctive backlit glow behind the letters and emphasizing the building's architecture.

One of the main challenges was the exceptionally short project deadline. The production of illuminated letters, preparation of mounting components and installation of the complete signage system had to be finished before the facility was officially handed over. At the same time, intensive construction and finishing work was still underway. The outdoor signage installation schedule therefore depended directly on the progress of other contractors, significantly limiting access to individual facades.

Particularly difficult conditions arose during preparations for installing halo-lit 3D letters on unfinished facades. The building surfaces were not yet fully prepared, and the lack of suitable access prevented an aerial work platform from being positioned freely in the required locations. Installing signage at height while construction continued meant dealing with restricted maneuvering space, other contractors working nearby and constantly changing site conditions.

Another significant challenge was the discrepancy between the supplied technical drawings and the actual condition of the building. The project documentation did not fully reflect the conditions found on the facades, complicating the planning of letter placement, fixing points and spacer distances. With multi-element illuminated signs, accurate positioning of each individual letter is essential for both the appearance and safety of the installation.

The organization of technical facilities presented further difficulties. At the installation stage, a permanent electrical power supply had not yet been prepared for the work and commissioning of the LED signage. The project also required consideration of necessary permits, occupational health and safety regulations, and procedures for working at height and operating aerial work platforms on an active construction site.

The Mieszko project therefore combined several demanding areas: manufacturing 3D letters with different illumination systems, installing halo-lit lettering on spacers, mounting illuminated logos, adapting installation work to unfinished facades and coordinating operations under a highly demanding schedule. The central challenge was to deliver durable, visually consistent signage that would represent the confectionery manufacturer's recognizable brands for years to come.

Summary

The project for Mieszko, a renowned Polish confectionery manufacturer with a presence in international markets, was successfully completed with the comprehensive production and installation of LED illuminated signage on the facades of its new facility. The project included two sets of front-lit 3D dimensional letters forming the AMORETTA, CHERRISSIMO and CHEERS signs, finished with elegant gold-colored sides, as well as colorful illuminated ZOZOLE logos. The signage was complemented by two MIESZKO signs manufactured using halo-illuminated 3D letters, mounted on spacers on two building facades.

Despite the extremely tight deadline, ongoing construction work, restricted access for aerial work platforms, discrepancies in technical documentation and the lack of a prepared electrical power supply, all signage elements were manufactured and installed before the facility was handed over. The project required efficient production planning, coordination of signage installation at height and adaptation of technical solutions to actual construction site conditions.

The use of two different LED illumination technologies created a distinctive visual effect. Front-lit LED letters provide bright, even illumination and excellent visibility of the advertising signs, while halo-illuminated dimensional letters create a subtle glow behind the lettering, emphasizing the elegant visual identity of the Mieszko brand. The combination of illuminated 3D letters, colorful logos and carefully positioned facade signage ensures clear and consistent branding throughout the facility.

The MIESZKO project demonstrates Media Walk's experience as a manufacturer of 3D letters and LED illuminated signage, as well as a provider of comprehensive industrial building signage solutions.
